I was scanning over some of my favorite articles about the mind and wanted to share 10 of them with you.top 10 list

When you look at these articles it will become clear that they all have one thing in common…you!  You decide to meditate or not, your decide to exercise or not, you decide to eat sweets or not.  I hope that by you’re done reading these articles that you will appreciate that you and only you are in control of creating your mental strength.  Once you do, you will be able to reach your personal goals and personal success with ease.

1 – Mindfulness Meditation Training Changes Brain Structure in Eight Weeks

ScienceDaily (Jan. 21, 2011) — Participating in an 8-week mindfulness meditation program appears to make measurable changes in brain regions associated with memory, sense of self, empathy and stress. In a study that will appear in the January 30 issue of Psychiatry Research: Neuroimaging, a team led by Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) researchers report the results of their study, the first to document meditation-produced changes over time in the brain’s grey matter. 6 – High-fat, High-sugar Foods Alter Brain Receptors

ScienceDaily (Aug. 6, 2009) — Overconsumption of fatty, sugary foods leads to changes in brain receptors, according to new animal research at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. The new research results are being presented at the

7 – Learning by Imagining: How Mental Imagery Training Aids Perceptual Learning

ScienceDaily (Dec. 4, 2009) — Practice makes perfect. But imaginary practice? Elisa Tartaglia of the Laboratory of Psychophysics at Switzerland’s Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL) and team show that perceptual learning – learning by repeated exposure to a stimulus — can occur by mental imagery as much as by the real thing.
