But what’s happened since?
As I coach people almost everyday this subject comes up regularly. Some people have great health but no wealth. Others have great wealth but no loving relationship. Sooner or later the subject of “attraction” will find its way into the coaching.
What I have found is that many people want to believe in The Law of Attraction, but because they haven’t experienced success with it they don’t believe it, or at least have some doubts.
The funny thing about this is, and I quote from “The Science of Mind” page 52:
“Hence, it follows that if we believe that It will not work, It really works by appearing to “not work.” When we believe that It cannot and will not, then, according to the principle, It DOES NOT. But when It does not, It sill does – only It does according to our belief that It will not.”
So, at some level we have self-inflicted this doubt.
Well, in talking deeper with people I have discovered that most people go for the “home run.” That is, that attempt to use The Law of Attraction for an instant fix to a problem that took them a lifetime to create.
This is like entering the Iron Man and you haven’t even run a 5k or biked 15 miles or swam 3 laps in an Olympic pool.
Then, when the problem doesn’t get fixed in a week or month the person they say “It” doesn’t work.

- Look for the results
- Measure the results, no matter how small
- Acknowledge we have made progress
- Appreciate the progress we’ve made (as opposed to how far we have to go)
When we implement this awareness to our human performance programs, The Law of Attraction, diet and exercise, etc will work!
