Your Mental Strength Coach
Gregg Swanson is a leading mental and physical strength and conditioning expert. Gregg specializes in driven individuals including athletes, executives and sales professionals. Gregg has developed a unique and powerful approach to his mental strength training by aligning a person’s body, mind and spirit so that they can reach their peak potential. He has authored several books and over 30 articles on the subjects of mental and physical strength.
Inspired by the book “Unleash the Warrior Within” when faced with a challenging decision Gregg’s job is to ask: “
- “Are you prepared to make a choice?”
- “Once the choice is made, are you courageous enough to start?”
- “Will you commit to finishing what you start?”
Throughout his life, Gregg has studied and been exposed to a wide diversity of teachings and teachers – from his collegiate learning and the schools of the corporate world, to extreme sports like martial arts, mountaineering and rock climbing, to the ancient teachings of the Mystery Schools and shamanism. Armed with this comprehensive and diverse background in personal development, along with his successful experience in sales, extreme sports and mental training, Gregg boasts a unique and powerful ability to blend the physical conditioning, mental strength and spiritual development into a usable and easy-to-access process for achieving peak performance.
The defining moment in Gregg’s life came in June of 1998 when he survived a horrific avalanche while descending from the top of Mt. Rainier. It was then that he understood the true power of mind strength and aligning the body, mind and sprit.
Gregg owns Warrior Mind Coach and Training and Warrior Fitness Training and Coaching. His high quality, high content and high energy programs are thoroughly researched and delivered in a unique, powerful and straight forward manner.

That was the “formal” bio…now on to the less formal style OK?
I currently live in Northern California (South Bay) with my beautiful wife, hybrid wolf-dog and queen of the house, a car named “Whittney.”
My wife and I are both personal fitness trainers and strength coaches. I focus on mental AND physical strength and my wife just kicks butt in her boot camps…her nickname “Drill Sergeant with a Smile.” I also practical the martial art of Bujinkan (ninjutsu)…this really tests my mental strength!
We consider ourselves to be very blessed and our life is full of excitement, adventure and joy!
How I Got Here
I’ve been in a corporate job for over 25 years with the majority of my time in sales. I love sales…I get to solve peoples problems.
My clients would call me not just about the products I was offering, but about personal issues, how to and how can I questions and “where can I get…” questions. And this wasn’t just from my clients…after awhile my coworkers where doing the same thing. Some day’s I felt like the Shell answer man…if you don’t know who that is…don’t worry about it. This is when I realized that I had a gift for helping people.
Soon after this realization I stated to mold myself. I read tons and tons of books on ALL subjects. I attended workshops on personal, physical and spiritual development. I went to coaching school. I was doing all I could so that I would be the best I could be in helping people like you.
Then through a series of two “downsizing’s” I decide to coach fulltime. And you know what?
I love it!
It’s so rewarding to help someone break though mental barriers that have held them back from going after what they want. And “what” doesn’t matter…what I have found out that unless a person develops the mental strength to succeed, it doesn’t matter what they do or want to do for a living, they will fail short of their ultimate potential and their peak personal performance.

My intention with his blog is to inspire, motivate and give you the courage to step out of your comfort zone and go after what your heart truly desires.
In my complimentary intro e-course I make a comment that “A warrior is a person who conquers oneself.” The conquering is developing the mental strength to stay focused, control your thoughts and emotions and finish what you start…no matter what!
