I am VERY happy to announce the grand opening of The Warriors Path tribal site:Warrior Mind Podcast

http://TheWarriorsPath.org

Please take a few minutes to check it out today.

This Warrior Mind Podcast is based on note I received from a reader and listener.  Without revealing who it was here is the note:

I know in the military knowing how to deal under pressure to get stuff done is essential. Attention to detail is critical. A true warrior must know how to execute flawlessly. Most times the act of repetition creates muscle memory and helps a person no longer rely on thought but straight execution.

But what if the game is continuously changing?

How does one prepare and focus on new arriving circumstances when there is no time to train. I have noticed that my work suffers with attention to detail. Maybe it is because I speed through things but I want to find information on how to improve my ability to focus on mistakes I make and be able to catch them before others do.

I was wondering if there are any books on this subject that you might know of? I can’t seem to find any. I want to seriously limit the mistakes I make. Or it might be an interesting podcast topic.

Just some thoughts.”

Here are the key points I picked up in this:

  • Attention to detail
  • Execute flawlessly.
  • But what if the game is continuously changing?
  • Prepare andfocus on new arriving circumstances no time to train.
  • Focus on mistakes

Mental Demand is the potent and invisible force in achieving personal success. The attitude of your mind affects you mental strengthmood, determines action, changes your physiology and directs your life.

I have mentioned numerous times how powerful these silent forces are in the attainment of your personal goals. This is why you need to develop your mental strength powers so you can affect your personal goals and personal success.

There is amazing power and possibility in the concentrated Mental Demand. This, like all other forces, is controlled by laws. It can, like all other forces, be significantly increased by following a specific and systematized plan.

Mental demand must be directed by every power of your mind and every aspect you’re your mental strength to make the ‘demand’ manifest. You must be able to create such an intense desire for your goal that you exclude all distracting thoughts. When you practice this singleness of concentration, until you reach your personal goal, you will have developed a Will capable of accomplishing whatever you desire.

As long as you can only do the ordinary things you will be counted as one of the mass of mediocrity. But just as quick as you being to breakout, by even by small amounts of progress, you are now entering the realm that few go.

So, if you wish to rise above the average, you must set outrageous personal goals and accomplish them. And this is easy to do, as long as you use your mental strength and concentrate on what you desire, and take massive action.

It is not the runner with the longest legs or the strongest muscles that wins the race, but the one that can use their mental strength, focus, will, action and greatest desired force.

The Little Train That Could

A great example of this is an engine on a freight train. The engine starts up slowly; the engineer gradually increases the throttle and after a bit the train is up to its maximum speed.

The same is true of two runners. They start off together and gradually they increase their desire to go faster. The one that has the greatest mental strength intensity of desire will win. He may outdistance the other by only a fraction of an inch or a microsecond, but still he wins.

Individuals that are perceived as some of the world’s greatest successes have not always been physically powerful, and often they didn’t seem capable of the tasks at hand. In the beginning many were not thought of as being particularly brilliant, but they achieve their goals and achieved personal success.

They did this by using their mental strength and a resolution to achieve their goals by not letting any set-backs to bring them down and no difficulties to daunt them. Nothing could turn them or influence them against…they were determined!

They never lost sight of their goal.

A Silent Force

In all of us there is this silent force of amazing power. If developed, it can overcome any condition that might seem insurmountable. It is constantly urging us on to greater achievement. The more we become acquainted with it the mentally stringer we become, the more courage we develop and the greater the desire within us grows for self-expression through the manifestation of our dreams.

No one will ever be a failure when they become conscious of this silent force within that controls their destiny. But without the consciousness of this inner force, you will not have a clear vision, and external conditions will not yield to the power of your mind.

It is the mental strength resolve that makes achievement possible. Once this has been formed it should never be allowed to falter until the successful achievement of your goal. To ensure that the plans are followed it will be necessary to use every once, every facet of your mental strength and the power of your mind.

Patience, perseverance and all the indomitable forces within you will have to be mustered and used with the greatest effectiveness.

Perseverance

Perseverance is the first element of success. In order to persevere you must have a burning desire for you dream. This will require that you concentrate ALL your thoughts on the accomplishment of your dream.  You must bring every bit of your mental and physical energy possible to a laser focus, until your dream is manifest.

Mental Demand seems an unreal power because it is intangible; but it is the most amazing power in the world. It is a power that is free for all of us to use. But you have to tap into it; no one can use it for you. Mental Demand is a potent force, which you can use anytime and anyplace. When you are able access Mental Demand when doubts arise it will provide counsel for you.

It will guide you when you are uncertain. When you are in fear it will give you courage. It is the motive power which supplies the energies necessary to the achievement of the purpose. You have inside you an enormous store house of possibilities. Mental Demand makes possible the realization of this potential.

It supplies everything necessary for the accomplishment; It selects the tools and instructs you on how to use them. It makes you understand the situation. Every time you make a Mental Demand you increase your mental strength by drawing to you external forces.

Few realize the power of a Mental Demand and now you do!

It is possible to make your demand so strong that you can communicate what you have to say to another without speaking.

I sure you have experienced this before.  Have you ever thought about talking to someone about a specific subject only to have them bring up the same subject?

Have you ever thought about doing something with a friend only to have suggest that you do that same thing…before you mentioned it to them?

Or how about wanting to talk to a family member only to have them call you first?

I know this has happened to me countless of times, and I’m sure to you as well.

These events are neither coincidences nor accidents…they are the result of mental demand in action triggered by strong concentration.

The person that never wants anything gets little. To ‘demand’ purposefully is the first step toward getting what you want.

Mental Demand Is Unconditional

The power of Mental Demand is absolute, the supply infinite. Mental demand projects itself and causes to materialize the conditions and opportunities needed to accomplish your purpose. Don’t underestimate the value of the Mental Demand. It brings a richer and fuller life when used to support you in living a life or power, purpose and passion.

Once Mental Demand is accessed never let it weaken. If you do the current that connects you with your desire is broken. Take all the necessary time to build a firm foundation, so that there will never be a seed of doubt that can creep in.

The very moment you entertain “doubt” you lose some of the demand force, and force once lost is hard to regain. So whenever you make a mental demand hold unwaveringly to it until you have achieved your goal.

Not Visualization

The Power of Mental Demand is not visualization, it is concentrated Power, accessible by all. It is not supernatural power, but requires a development mental strength. Your desired outcome is assured when it is infused with a strong, unbendable determination.

No person will achieve personal success, to any great extent, until they recognizes this force within them. If you have not become aware of it, you are capable of so much more than you think. It is this “something” that distinguishes the average from the success warriors.

It is this subtle power that develops strong personality.

Demand Much More

If you want a lot out of life, you must demand a lot out of yourself. Once you make your demand, anticipate its fulfillment….your success depends upon it.

We are rewarded according to our efforts. The Power of Mental Demand can bring us what we want.

We become what we determine to be.

We control our own destiny.

Get the right mental strength attitude, and then in accordance with your ability you can achieve your personal success.

And every person of AVERAGE ability, the ordinary individual that you see every day, can be successfully, independent and free of worry.  THEY ARE THEIR OWN MASTER, if they can manage to do just two things.

First, be dissatisfied with what they ARE doing and with what they HAVE accomplished.  A person can not be complacent and expect to live a life of power, purpose, passion and perseverance.

Second, they must develop in their mind a mental strength belief that the word impossible was not intended for them. They must build up in their mental strength and confidence that enables them to use their mind and ALL of its’ power.

Many, especially those more age under their belt might question:

“How can I build up that self-confidence after all these years? How can I, after months and years of discouragement, of dull plodding, suddenly conceive and carry out a plan for doing something that will mike life worth while and change the monotonous routine?

“How can a person get out of a rut after they have been in it for years and has settled down to the slow jog-trot that leads to the grave?”

The answer is that is CAN be done and millions have done it.  All you have to do is find one example, then…what one can do, all can do.

One of the names most honored among the great men of France is that of Littre, who wrote and compiled the great French dictionary–a monument of learning. He is the man whose place among the forty immortals of France was taken by the great Pasteur, when the latter was elected to the Academy.

Littre BEGAN the work that makes him famous when he was more than sixty years old.

Core training has been a hot topic for quite awhile now. Professional, amateur, high school, college athletes and mental strength for athletic performanceweekend warriors understand the importance of a strong core for functional movement and peak athletic performance.

To skinny on the core training is it involves training the muscles that surround the body’s center of mass—the abdominals, lower back, and hip. A strong core is one of the keys to peak performance utilizing effective movement, stability, and balance.

Utilizing of the core comes into play with even the most basic of movements and is certainly essential to more involved movements. For example, performing a squat without activating your abs or lower back muscles, you can’t do it, can you?

While developing your physical core strength is important, there is another “core” that is critical for athletes to train and develop.

That other core is your mind…your mental strength.

The core of your mind is as important, if not more so in some respects, then your physical core. Just as strong physical core is important to effective athletic movement like stability, balance and peak performance.

A strong mental core is crucial to effective mental stability, mental balance and mental strength. A strong, well-developed mind or “mental muscle” is paramount to peak athletic performance.

The mind is activated during every athletic training session and certainly during every athletic performance.  How the mind affects athletic performance is intricately tied to how well the athlete has trained, developed and strengthened their mental muscle.

For example, if you doubt your ability to bench press 240 lbs, do you really think you’ll succeed?

Probably not.

Or let’s say you’ve entered a 5k race.  There you are standing at the starting line and you begin to tell yourself you are not in good enough shape to run sub-20 minutes.  What do you think the chances are that you’ll run it under 20, even if your body has been physically trained correctly?

Chances are slim to none and slim just left town.

Clearly the mental core strength plays a significant part in athletic peak performance.

As you continue your pursuit for peak athletic performance, it’s vital that you take into consideration the development of your “physical core strength” and your “mental core strength.” Sine they are both at the foundation of athletic peak performance.

Here are some tips to keep in mind as you look at developing your mental strength for peak performance:

The Mental Core Strength Can Be Developed

  • Through Mental strength Training

Mental strength training relates to the development of mental skills and strategies to help you manage your mind.  That is, to be able to take control of your internal processes, i.e. self-talk, images, that either help or hinder your training and athletic performance.

  • Mental strength Skills Are SKILLS

Mental strength skills are equivalent to physical strength skills, in that they are both skills that can be learned and ultimately lead to peak performance. Many times, coaches and athletes approach mental strength skills as something an athlete either has or doesn’t have (i.e., she is confident or she is not confident) instead of something the athlete can learn and develop.

  • Mental strength Training Isn’t Easy

You can learn to manage what goes on internally and it takes discipline. Athletes who are unwilling to develop their mental core often demonstrate inconsistent performances due to a weak mental core. Athletes who do make the effort to train the mind discover that it takes time, effort, and persistence, just like physical training. But just as with physical training, the rewards can be great.

  • Seek Out Mental strength Resources

Keep on the lookout for resources that can help you build and develop your mental strength. Read books, continue to read these column, find a peak performance coach, talk to athletes that are achieving peak performance

As you develop your mental core strength, your performance and mental focus will become more balanced.

Use the information and skills outlined many post here as well as “Develop the Mental strength of a Warrior, these will help you create the mental strength need to achieve peak athletic performance.

The core of the body and the core of the mind are always linked; weakness one will show up in the other.  You need both to reach peak performance.

In this post we’ll begin to cover the exercises and habits that are essential in maintaining a healthy rhinoceros spirit.  mental strengthLet’s face it.  If you weren’t born a rhinoceros, it’s sometimes difficult to stay or rhino in a cow and sheep world.

You don’t want to be “rhino for a day”.  You want to be born again; and this time as a powerful, mentally and physically strong rhino!

It’s All In Your Mind

The most important ingredient for being an effective goal charging rhino is your attitude.  If you don’t think like really want to be a rhino, you won’t charge like one.  You have to want to be a rhino so badly you can feel your skin growing thicker and turning grey.  You should almost swear you’ve gained a couple thousand pounds and your breath has taken on a strong, hot odor.  And best of all, you have an insatiable urge to charge.

You Are A Bundle Of Energy

Every muscle in your body is twitching with excitement.  You have a personal goal you’re after.  And unless you get out and start charging it down, you’ll feel as though you’ll explode from all the excess power cursing through your veins.

You Are A Niagara Falls Of Energy

The power in your body, you could easily light up the city of Los Angeles.  You are an atom bomb waiting to be dropped (in a good way).  All you have to decide is what personal goal to drop it on.  Don’t waste your energy on trivial matters.  Don’t let anybody or anything drain your power.  Make sure you’re going after something worth your time.  Think big!  Rhino’s do not charge at jackrabbits.  Atom bombs are not used for the Fourth of July in the Niagara Falls is not used for taking a shower.

Go after a rhino size goal: one equal to or a bit larger than your potential.  Don’t underestimate yourself, you are rhino after all.  Remember “it’s better to attempt something great and fail than to attempt nothing and succeed” – Dr. Robert Schuller.

You are a powerful rhinoceros…go for the biggest!

Declare Yourself A Rhino

Before you do anything else, stop reading this and two 3 x 5 cards and a pen.  Don’t cheat now!  A true rhino would charge right over to the drawer and get them.  If you have a 3 x 5 card, get a sheet of paper and make two.

Now right in capital letters the following on your first card:

I AM A RHINOCEROS!  I HAVE A DAMN THE TORPEDOES SPIRIT!  I AM FULL OF ENERGY AND CAN’T WAIT TO GET UP IN THE MORNING TO START CHARGING!

On the second card, write a sentence declaring the fact that you have reached your personal goal with the date you got it.  For example, if you’ve always wanted to start a martial arts school for rhino’s, you would write:

IT IS NOW JULY 1ST, 2101 AND I AM THE SUCCESSFUL OWNER OF “THE MARTIAL ARTS SCHOOL FOR RHINO”!

It is important to state it as though you already have it.  And remember, say it the way you want it.

Next, put these two cards near the head of your bed.

Before you go to sleep at night, read them out loud to yourself.  Do it again in the morning when you first wake up.

Read them with them with feeling and belief, but some energy and emotions behind your words.

At first, you might have to pretend that you’re excited to get up in the morning and go ahead and “fake it till you make it.”  The important thing here is to make reading the cards a habit.

Just so we’re clear on this, you can’t skip a week and then read them seven times in a row.  Read them once, every morning and every evening.  By using your mental strength and do this unconditionally for 30 days, by the end of the month you will actually be a rhino!  You’ll need to get a bigger bed and car though.

Take Action

Affirmations and writing down personal goals are absolutely no good unless you combine them with taking action.

You’ve just declared you are a rhino so now act like one!  Reading affirmations and reciting goals without acting is just kidding yourself.  Get in the habit of moving.

Get in the habit of not just taking action, but MASSIVE action toward your personal goals.  Tell yourself that you’re excited to get up in them morning and to start charging.  Then when the morning comes, leaped out of bed and start charging!

Rhino Portraits

Another good idea is to find pictures of rhino’s and hang them in your home to constantly remind yourself of your proud heritage.  The home-office is a great place. The pictured will add extra inspiration around 3:00 PM in the afternoon to keep going!

Make A New Family Album

Find a picture up of a rhino family and claim it as yours.  Look for posters of a charging rhinoceros.  Frame it and hang it in your living room over the fire-place.  Look for carved rhino’s during your exotic rhino style vacations or your local stores and zoo.  The idea here is to constantly remind yourself of your heritage and that you are a powerful, charging rhinoceros.

Look out world!

Maintaining Your Rhino Energy

You just charged out of bed; showered, brushed your horn, dressed and are enjoying a hot cup of muddy water.  You pick up “The Animal Daily” and what do find on the front page:

  • Dollar at an all time low
  • Water shortage predicted this summer
  • Unemployment rate still high
  • Forty rhinos killed in bus tragedy

Heavens forbid, don’t turn on the television because they will have film report on the bus strategy.

How do you think this affects your ability to charge throughout the day?

It tends to dampen your enthusiasm, doesn’t it?

Why subject yourself to this kind of negative stimulation?

You have thick skin, but seriously, there’s no reason to point a cannon at yourself, is there?

Rhino’s do not make a career of watching television.  Neither do they spend the whole mornings reading about every crime and killing across the country in the paper.

Let the cows out in the pasture filled there tiny brains with the negative aspects of life.  Do not ignore the negative, but don’t saturate yourself with it either.  Just as weeds grow in the most beautiful gardens, life too, will always have negatives to contend with.

Watch that your garden is not overrun with weeds and remember, the news is the news because it’s not the norm.

Instead, read books and magazines stressing the positive aspects of life or something educational.  We become the product of three things: who we associate with, the books reread and what we listen to.

A great place to start is by picking up a copy of “Develop the Mental Strength of a Warrior.”  It will help transform you into a 2 ton charging rhino.   You can get your today HERE.

OK…until next time, keep charging live large!

Whether you call them affirmations, declarations, incantations or positive self-talk repeating empowering phrases mental strengthhelps shift your energy.  When your energy shifts you are then open to unlimited possibilities.

One key in using these or any empowering phrases is to first come to a place where you unconditionally realize that you are part of an omnipresent, powerful and creative singular force.  You can call it what ever you like.

The point here is when you KNOW that you are part of this Force and this Force is expressing Itself through you and as you, then when you repeat these affirmations you will be tapping into the creative nature of this Force and will manifest that which you speak.

This is one reason why people don’t experience the creative process of affirmations, declarations or incantations.  They don’t have the mental strength and really contemplate their connection and relationship with the Universe.

The funny thing here is that those don’t “get what they want” are creating exactly in accordance with their belief.  They consciously or unconsciously are repeating disempowering affirmations and they are getting exactly what they say.

So affirmations do work!  You’re belief in a Natural Law does not excuse you from its’ consequences.  If you don’t know about gravity and fall…you will ht the ground, it’s the Law.

The hidden secret in developing mental strength is to unconditionally KNOW you are part of a much larger Creative Force and that Force is working through you.

With that in mid, here are 20 mental strength affirmations for living strong and powerful life.

  1. I am a valuable person.
  1. I have a positive outlook in life, which I demonstrate to everyone around me under any and all circumstances.
  1. I have the ability to love others unconditionally.
  1. I accept others for who they are.
  1. I communicate well under all conditions.
  1. I am a good listener.
  1. I listen and I enjoy; the song call of the birds, the rustling leaves, the sounds of Nature.
  1. I am quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to anger.
  1. I fully accept the character of people around me.
  1. I recognize and needs of others.
  1. I discover successful methods of improving and contributing to my family, friend and people with whom I associate.
  1. I give freedom to others to fulfill themselves outside our relationship.
  1. I choose to assist others in reaching their goals.
  1. I enjoy serving others and know that serving is what I am called to do.
  1. I choose to be centered in the One Creative Force, not on myself.
  1. I have the ability to change and accept changes as a normal process in life.
  1. I am flexible.
  1. I realize that life does not revolve around me.
  1. I respect others.
  1. I choose to have discretion in my speaking and in my actions.

I hope at least some of these resonated with you.  Think of this list as a smorgasbord, keep what you like and leave the rest behind.

If you’d like a hard copy of these affirmations you can download them HERE.

Please let me know your thoughts on these in the comments below.

Welcome back to another Mental Strength Tip!

mental strength

Achieving personal success and reaching your personal goals begins with a mental strength mindset of empowering beliefs.

Reaching your personal goals and personal success starts in your mind…and finishes with taking inspired and massive action.

This is one in a series of virtual success coaching and mental strength tips to help kick-start your week.  It is intended to enthuse and inspire you to take action so that you can reach your personal goals and personal success.

I take one mental strength tips and run though a brief overview of it, then ask some very direct success coaching questions.  The intention of this virtual success coaching session is for you to write and answer these questions in your success journal and then reflect on them to gain insight on yourself, your dreams and what’s holding you back.

These series of posts are for YOU!  If I’m not able to success coach you personally then I highly recommend Warrior Mind Fundamentals. Its online mental strength training that will help you create a warrior mind so that you can live a life of power, purpose and passion.

To find out more about Warrior Mind Fundamentals go HERE now.

Objective of this Mental Strength Tip:

To assist you in understanding the value of being bold in specific situations.

Let’s Get Started:

Being bold, brave and courageous are different.  Here are my online definitions:

  • Courageous acting in the face of fear
  • Brave doing what others can’t or won’t
  • Bold go big or go home

When I talk about going “go big or go home” this doesn’t mean big as far as money or flamboyance is concerned.  This means doing something that will attract attention to help you reach your personal goals and personal success.

Questions to Uncover Beliefs about Mental Strength Thinking:

  • Finish this statement: Bold people are _____
  • Who is more likely to be bold: the average person or the mentally strong person?
  • Growing up, what were you taught about being bold to reach your personal goals?

Unsupportive Beliefs about Boldness

  • Bold people are rude
  • Bold people are pushy
  • Bold people are arrogant

Mental Strength Beliefs about Boldness

  • Bold people are strong
  • Bold people have firm convictions
  • Bold people get what they want without hurting others

Outrageous Questions:

  • If you were bolder would be more successful?
  • Do you have the self-confidence to more bold?
  • Is it possible to be bolder without being pushy?

Reflective Questions:

  • On a scale of 1-9, 9 being boldest, how bold are you…really?
  • What would you have to believe to act with boldness?
  • Would becoming bolder help you reach your personal goals and achieve personal success?

Mental Strength Coaching:

My job here in this virtual mental strength and success coaching session to help you develop the belief that boldness is a requirement to reach personal success.  The meek and timid rarely achieve their personal goals and live up to their potential.

The secret to reach your personal goals is to develop the level of boldness congruent with your value system, so that while you’re developing your boldness, this will be stretching you out of your comfort zone and not abandoning your core values.

A Wall Street power broker is going to exhibit one level of boldness, while a housewife in Ohio might exhibit completely different type of boldness.

Both can success through their boldness without changing who they are or their core values.

Final Thought

I’d really like you to contemplate the power of living bolder and watch how this action manifests in your life.

“Seize this very minute! Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it. Only engage, and then the mind grows heated. Begin, and then the work will be completed.” – Jean Anouilh

If you’d like to get start building more boldness to reach your personal goals, pick up you copy of “Develop the Mental Strength of a Warrior” today HERE.  This is a fantastic e-book that helps you take control of your thoughts, develop success awareness and helps you tap into the powers of your unconsciousness mind to create the mental strength to succeed at anything!
