“…we are all bioengineered with the capacity to let the heart do the talking and the mind do its’ walking.”mind-empowerment-1

When I first registered the domain mindpowercoach.com, the term mind power made perfect sense to me. Surely everybody wants more empowerment and is willing to challenge their thinking in order to becoming clearer, more confident and able overcome the obstacles?

In workshops, I would go on and on about how to increase your mind power with enough success to keep me persisting. However, it was not until 2010 before I came to terms with the importance of a detailed purpose. Purpose in every area of life, including health, financial, emotional wellbeing, career or business and especially relationships.

The ability to connect to a detailed purpose gave mind power direction and an important job to do. We know when our heart’s in it, which makes all the difference. We know a job or project is only as going to be as good as the brief. If the mind is not giving a quality brief, it naturally defaults to whatever purpose we were conditioned to live. This default purpose often encompassed general health, a nice car, marriage, house, kids and annual holidays.

There is nothing wrong with that if that’s what your heart desires. One way to check if you are on track with your true purpose is how inspired and content you are in your journey. The journey can be as sweet as the destination. Its how you can make the destination inevitable and not be physically and emotionally depleted once you arrive.

Mind power without a detailed purpose proved to be the difference in the journey. What condition you arrived in, at your destination, would determine the quality of the overall experience and achievement. How many times have you experienced or heard people say, “is that it? I worked that hard for this? This is not want I expected.” It makes no sense that we work hard and strive to achieve and after all that work, we end-up disappointed and disillusioned.

This helped explain the ‘money can’t buy you happiness’ cliché. It was a conflict of interest hearing it from a wealthy person. They couldn’t talk because they had money. Jamie Packer’s interview on 60 minutes was revealing in the sense that he struggled with failure. He was disappointment and isolated even though his luxury needs were far from being compromised. He even admitted that while his life has been difficult, he would not swap his financial position with anyone.

Over the last century, abundance and wealth have been associated with financial status, thereby distracting us from identifying and investing into the opportunities that are highly enriching. Those opportunities are relationships and adventure. Jamie Packer was reduced to tears when he explained how Tom Cruise reached out to him because acts of compassion and caring create extraordinary relationships. We have seen people spend their personal fortunes on medical bills to save their loved ones from suffering to a terminal disease.

Purpose has either become the focus or is growing in popularity for the personal development industry. It is no longer good enough to leave the awareness of meaningful goals to the person seeking help. If goals were based on purpose, you would be surprised how much of someone’s empowerment is naturally ignited. You can’t just ask someone, “What are your goals?” Most of the time their goals are founded on obligation or lack the details that can inspire them into action.

From over 100 clients over 2 years, spending 2 hours per week for 7 weeks in my EP7 Empowered for Purpose life-coaching program, I have witness two significant shifts. The first is coming to terms with how they are bioengineered with the capacity to be extraordinary. How 7 billion people on the planet are all equipped in the same way. And secondly, how much of that capacity became relevant and accessible once they became intimate with their purpose to their health, emotional wellbeing, relationships, roles and purpose based goals.

The signature essence (their uniqueness) of someone finally can express when that empowerment is turned on. What I found interesting was, it would not turn on beyond survival until they finally sat with the ‘why’ and were given the means to detail the ‘what’ before the ‘how’ was relevant.

I used to hold the theory that genius is in everyone. I now hold the firm view that genius is also unique to each person. The formula to tap into your genius is empowerment + your signature essence = your genius expression.

Genius is not a label or tangible title you can give to yourself. It is a subjective view held by someone deeply inspired by your actions or innovations. If they feel compelled to accuse you of being a genius, then that is just feedback what you are doing is being appreciated in a profound way. That feedback is indeed wonderful because your purpose was to make a difference to yourself and others in a meaningful and rewarding way.

There is so much I could explore with mind empowerment beyond 2013. Many modalities focus on reducing stress and helping you balance your life and get clearer on what you want. The personal development programs and tools that help ignite and expand your imagination as well as trust and develop your intuition for the sake of connecting and living your purpose, is where I see it going from here.

Your purpose can only be as inspiring as your imagination and realistically achievable through your intuition. No matter how good the strategy, if you haven’t connected to your signature essence and built a purpose from your true self, you will procrastinate on and sabotage that strategy in the most effective ways. We are born with imagination and intuition, but these are not abilities that mainstream society is structured to nurture and develop. In fact, the opposite happens. Reclaiming them is a key part of empowering the mind.

Furthermore, heart has a lot more influence on your actions and emotions. Science and the personal development industry are beginning to explore this further. The Institute of Heart Math do a marvelous job of showing the power of the heart.

I often say, let the heart be your master and your mind be its servant. Albert Einstein put it will when he said, “The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.”

Our empowerment is reduced when we define the intellect as intelligence. Analyzing complex problems makes up only one part of intelligence. At best, we can only optimize our future based on our past experiences if we rely on analysis alone. The great realizations, epiphanies and breakthroughs come from quantum leaps of understanding that occur thanks to an active imagination and intuition.

Empowering the mind must continue to expand from IQ and even EQ. Emotional Intelligence (IE or EQ) as a form of intelligence has come a long way in being accepted by business and has paved the way for improved human communication and relationships. Now, we are poised for something much greater; a level of empowerment and vision that will align the human race with nature in a sustainable and abundant way.

The mind can be turned on to envisage an extraordinary life and be intuitive to how to make a harmonious and sustainable global community possible. Our heart-based purpose can engage everything we do because it is naturally motivated to serve one another.

I believe an increasing number of people from around the world are already committing to personally and collectively developing the level of holistic intelligence required for fulfilling humanity’s purpose. After all, we are all bioengineered with the capacity to let the heart do the talking and the mind do its’ walking. From 2013 on, one would like to hope that it’s all about being empowered for humanity’s purpose to align with truth and love.

OK….here we are at the end of the Mental Strength Laws of the Mind and Thoughts.laws of thoughts

Over the past couple of weeks we’ve explored the laws 1 – 9 and today we’ll finish with laws 10 and 11.

The basis for these posts is the question, “How do we run our own mind?”

Taking control of our own mind, and thinking freely in independent ways apart from rehashing worn-out or spoon fed thoughts necessitates several things.

It necessitates that we develop mindfulness about our minds (or more accurately, our minds) so that we actually develop state management skills. It means we learn to play a new Game, “I am in control of my mind and thoughts” game.

So, with that in mind let’s finish with laws #1o and 11.

#10: The Law of Patterns – Given enough time, everything has a pattern and that pattern is connected with other patterns. What’s the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. Patterns reveal the ‘insanity.’ Fibonacci, Italian mathematician, discovered the power of patterns.

In nature there are patterns over and over again and by being aware of patterns you can “predict” what will happen next. So, by examining your past for patterns (not justification or blame) just patterns, you will be able to make new decisions about the direction of your life.

#11: Minds Frame Things – This is one of the greatest powers of our mind for health and sanity and for insanity and destructiveness. Our minds frame. They do so to create contextual meaning.

Things, events, people, even words do not mean anything in and of themselves. It takes a mind to create meaning, a “thing” that does not exist out there but is a production of the mind.

Actually, the mind creates two levels of meaning. Associative meaning arises when we link up one thing with another thing. What does a cookie mean? It depends on what you have associated with a cookie. It could mean a sweet or junk food. It could mean reward or lack of nutrition. It could mean delight and fun, it could mean threat to my diet. It could mean survival, it could mean fat.

Because minds link ideas, images, feelings, etc., things easily become associated. This creates triggers or anchors. One thing (a sight, sound, sensation, word, etc.) triggers another thing. Stimulus Response. In this way we create structures of the mind that we call understandings or knowledge.

These are not “things,” but organizations of association show we have sequenced or ordered the frames in our movies.

What does an “authority figure” mean? Where does your mind go when you think about an “authority figure?” What state does it evoke? Pleasant or unpleasant? Resourceful or un-resourceful? Just thoughts … connected in your mind to memories, awareness’, meanings.

Then there is contextual or frame meaning. Once we have linked up and associated things and bring that association into our mind as our frame of reference, we develop higher level thoughts about it. We call these ideas “concepts.”

In this way we now look at things through a conceptual frame of mind. It becomes a filter. We call them meta-states and meta-programs. This establishes a mental context for thinking and feeling. This is how we turn associations into higher level maps. Doing so establishes the mental Rules of the Games that we then play.

We first associate a harsh tone of voice with being spanked. Later we develop ideas and concepts that people who strain their vocal chords are mean, hurtful, and nasty. Then we develop higher frames that “criticism is bad,” “confrontation always ruins things,” “I’m sensitive to criticism,” “I cannot handle that tone of voice,” etc.

These thoughts create the higher frames of mind about an event and semantically load that event. So when someone strains the vocal chords, the meanings I experience in relation to that event puts me into very un-resourceful states. All of this happens so quickly that on the inside it seems like and feels like “the criticism” (or harsh tonality) makes me upset, angry, or frustrated. This is how we set up and play the Games that we do.

Minds deal with data overload by making generalizations. They create categories for items; they organize things into groups. This allows us to develop contextual meanings from our frames, giving us an even higher way to interpret things.

“Oh, that’s just information. Good. For a minute I thought that was criticism.”

How we categorize a thing determines what it “is” to us in our neurology. Yet as we frame, so we become. What we organize on the inside, in-forms us.

We are all psychologically organized by our belief frame, value frames, identity frames, decision frames, etc. And the thing about the mind framing is that as we frame, so we play the frame games that we do.

I hope you’ve been enjoying our look at the Mental Strength Laws of the Mind and Thoughts.mind thoughts

Over the past couple of weeks we’ve explored the laws 1 – 6 and today we’ll continue with laws 7, 8 and 9.

So, with that in mind let’s continue with laws #7, 8 and 9.

#7: Minds Transition In and Out of the Present Moment – With that last induction (see previous post), did you leave where you are now and go somewhere else? If you didn’t, perhaps you could use the words to do that. Try it out. Because we represent things, we can represent realities that are not immediately present and go there.

This is the foundation of all day-dreaming, night-dreaming, fantasizing, learning, creativity, invention, thinking, conceptualizing, mathematizing, theorizing, etc. This is what we humans do best. We can leave our current situation and travel to distance places, times, and worlds.

We call this thinking. It’s also hypnosis. It’s also trance. It’s many things: imagination, fantasy, creativity, and hallucination. This means that we are not stuck or limited to his present moment.

We can represent things not present, never present, and even impossible things. What freedom of mind we have! It’s a freedom of consciousness that’s unique to our species.

We have a consciousness that can transition from our current state to other states, hence the word “trance.”

Anytime we shift our awareness to something that is not part of our current awareness, we enter a trance state.

Our minds love to zone out. Doesn’t yours? It happens when you drive on long trips, it happens even when you drive to the grocery store. It happens when you wait in line, in an elevator, and when you’re listening to a speech.

Minds do that.

It’s no big deal. Well, it’s not unless you have no guidance or control over it. Then it is a big deal. If you lack awareness of when you are present and when you’re off on some mind-trip, then you are doing out-of-control hallucinating.

We all hallucinate. Those who do so mindfully and by choice are our greatest scholars, inventors, creators, designers, teachers, CEOs, etc. Those who don’t do it by choice suffer from underachieving and the ineffectiveness of not being able to manage their own mind. They don’t run their own minds.

#8: Minds Induce States – Minds put us into neurological states. They affect our physiology, breathing, movement, and internal chemistry. To work up a good mad, we only have to think angry thoughts of injustice and violation. We only have to think about a dangerous threat and off we go into a fear state. And some representations of sexuality can induce our body to experience desire and lust.

Minds do this because they are part of the body. They sit at the top of the spinal cord and nervous system and bring in all of the nervous impulses processed by the end receptors.

Out of the structure of our multi-layered minds emerge our sense of awareness we call “mind.” Mind is an emergent property in the neurology of our mind. So it is always mind-body or body-mind, and never one without the other.

This explains why we mostly think or represent ourselves into our states but why we also can act our way into states. This gives us two royal roads into a mind-body state of consciousness whether it is confidence and joy and love or fear, anger, and sadness. We can use mind and all of our internal representations and we can use body (breathing, posture, movement, activity, etc.).

What state are you in? What state do you go into when any given stimulus or trigger occurs? You need look no further than the instructions you give yourself at the mental dimension or what you do in terms of your posture, muscle tension, breathing, etc. at the physiological dimension.

#9: Minds Go in Circles – Not only do our minds represent the world, go places, and put us into states, but minds also do flips, they roll over, they flip back on themselves, they go in circles. As there are feed forward and feedback loops in the physical structure of the mind so that nervous impulses are sent to the thalamus and the amygdala they are simultaneously passed on to the escorted and after processing there back to the lower mind structures.

It’s all inter-connected. We even have an associative cortex that keeps everything connected with everything else so that we have more cortical connections in the three trillion mind cells than atoms in the universe.

No wonder we loop around. No wonder we can worry about our humor and wonder if we are caring too much and then become afraid of our worry and then think something must be wrong with us that we are worry about something so silly as that. We get caught up in down spirals of negative thoughts and can become obsessive compulsive.

We can get caught up in positive spiral of thoughts and suffer from insomnia due to our excitement.

Our minds are not strictly logical. To think in a straightforward way and to stay on that path for more than a few seconds is very difficult for our minds. That’s why mathematics and formal logic seem so foreign to us. It’s not the natural habit of our mind. We think in circles. Our minds go around in loops and spirals. We keep reprocessing the same tired old thoughts.

This reflexivity is what allows us to layer thought upon thought, feeling upon feeling, thought upon feeling, memory upon imagination, fear upon anger, dread upon worry, joy upon learning, etc. This creates the whole domain of our meta-statesour states of thoughts and feelings about other thoughts and feelings. And that’s what creates the layering effect of our awareness so that we can create great complexity in our experiences.

We begin with a reference experience, bring it in and represent it, then develop thoughts and feelings about that, and so on until what was “out there” becomes a frame of reference, a frame of mind and then the very frameworks of four personality and orientation. This creates the Rules of the Game, or our highest frames of mind.

Last week we looked at the first 5 Mental Strength Laws of the Mind and Thoughts.Mental Strength Laws of the Mind and Thoughts

We talked about just as there are Natural and Universal Laws there are Law’s of the Mind. Before I get in the Mind Law’s it will be helpful do go over some mind facts.

We asked the question, “How do we run our own mind?”

So, with that in mind let’s continue with laws #5 and 6.

#5: Minds Externalize Instructions – We live in two worlds. The inner world of thoughts, feelings and emotions; and the outer world of circumstances, situations and results. We can see a person’s internal world of ideas and frames by noticing the person’s external Games. External life reflects internal frames. The behavioral, speech, and action Games that we play on the outside are expressions of our internal frames of mind. They go together.

What the thinker thinks – the ‘prover’ proves.

The old proverb put it this way: “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.” The Roman philosopher Marcus Aurelius put this yet another way: “As thy thoughts are so will thy mind be also; for the soul takes its coloring from thought.”

“If you are pained by an external thing, it is not this thing that disturbs you  but your judgment about it.” (The Meditations, 160 AD).

Minds manifest internal representation into the external world so that we externalize our internal frames and representations.

What does this mean?

Mainly, that our external world will only be as exciting, vibrant, dramatic, and powerful as our internal frames (references) of mind.

So, as you decorate your internal world of mind, imagination, and memory with hopes, desires, wonders, delights, etc., you alter the quality and content of the instructions that you give to your mind.

This brings up several excellent questions for those of us who want to run our own mind to create a quality life:

  • What kind of images, sounds, words, sensations, etc. do you have running on the inside of your mind?
  • What kind of internal movies are you showing in the Cinema of your Mind?
  • Who does your interior decorating?
  • Does your internal world of frames need some better interior decorating?

#6: Minds Run on Representations – The cognitive and neuro-sciences have discovered that minds represent our external sensed experiences. It is not that we literally have an internal movie screen in our mind, yet it seems that we do.

This phenomena of consciousness is how we experience thoughts and awareness’s. It seems that we internally recall what our home, car, work, friends, parents, dogs, etc. look like, sound like, smell like, feel like, taste like.

This sensory awareness on the inside of our mind has led neuro-scientists to designate parts of the mind the visual cortex, auditory cortex, the cortex where we process smells, tastes, sensations, balance, etc.

If we picture a beautiful day with blue sky and billowy white clouds and a green grass lawn facing the white sands of a gorgeous ocean view and imagine feeling the warm ocean breeze blowing through our hair and the smell of the salt water and the sounds of children playing and enjoy our favorite drink while getting a neck and back massage from our special loved one …

Well, it doesn’t take long before our body and neurology responds to those representations as if they were instructions about how to feel. Because minds run on representations, the more expressive, vivid, dramatic, and sensory-specific, the easier it is for us to tell our minds where to go and what to feel. Then the screen play is clearer and easier to follow.

Our minds represent things as it were on a mental screen of the mind. It’s like there’s an internal movie playing and we fill in the sensory details of that movie. Of course, we do not play out everything in that Cinema. We can’t. We can’t even input all that comes in.

Our eyes only scan a very narrow part of the electromagnetic spectrum. Our ears only receive a very narrow band of sound wave frequencies. So we have to be pretty selective, as a movie director, about what we play on our internal Cinema. Choose well. It’s your mind.

We’ll continue this next week.

Just as there are Natural and Universal Laws there are Law’s of the Mind. Before I get in the Mind Law’s it will be helpful Laws of mind and thoughtdo go over some mind facts.

How do we run our own mind?

So you want to take back control of your own mind?

Good on you.

What a wonderful goal!

And in this day age so rare.

Many people talk about taking back control of their mind and taking charge of their thoughts, but just watch them when criticized or insulted. They go to pieces. Let one of their closely held beliefs be questioned, and watch out.

Sudden it becomes semantic reaction time.

They explode with rage, anger, stress, fear, shock, etc. If they truly “control their own minds,” how is it that they lack state management skills in the moments when managing one’s reactions really counts?

Taking control of our own mind, and thinking freely in independent ways apart from rehashing worn-out or spoon fed thoughts necessitates several things.

It necessitates that we develop mindfulness about our minds (or more accurately, our minds) so that we actually develop state management skills. It means we learn to play a new Game, “I am in control of my mind and thoughts” game.

So, with that in mind:

What essentials do you need to know to take back control of your mind and thoughts?

Here are the first 5 mental strength Laws of the Mind

Read them VERY carefully, they help you establish an understanding of the game of “I am in control of my mind and thoughts.”

Rule of the Game

#1: Thoughts are Things – Thoughts are things, they are real forces, and they are energy and are the ‘cause’ of all your ‘effects.’ Weak and scattered thoughts are weak and scattered real forces. Strong and concentrated thoughts are strong and concentrated real forces!

#2: Thoughts are Bidirectional – The mind is like a two-way radio, it is a sending and receiving station of thoughts. We are constantly affecting the outside environment with our thoughts, and the outside environment…those people, groups and communities we associate with…are constantly affecting our thoughts, particularly in sales.

#3: Thoughts are Like Magnets – Thoughts that are thought with emotion become magnetized and attract similar and like thoughts. Any thought that has emotion attached to it, changes the dynamic and the “energy” of the thoughts, i.e. negative thoughts attract more negative thoughts and positive thoughts attract more positive thoughts.

#4: Minds Follow Directions – They take the directions that you give them and they follow them. Provide a little description and the mind goes to work representing the information on our internal mental screen. Like a movie director, minds use the information as instructions for our mental Cinema. This explains why the following are very important questions for our states:

  • What directions are you giving your mind?
  • What are the default instructions that you’ve learned to give your mind?
  • What instructions did your parents or teachers provide you about yourself, life, others, etc.?
  • How useful, ecological, healthy, balanced, valuable, true, etc. are those instructions?
  • Do those instructions create empowering states for you?
  • Would you want to give those instructions to your children?
  • Do they map out an exciting and loving life?

Why are these questions so important?

Because, the quality of your life is in direct proportion to the quality of the questions asked. The quality of that information flows from the quality of its instructions and questions. The most important thing you do in life then are the instructions that you give your mind. Are the instructions those that you would use to create a world-class movie?

Minds use words, pictures, sounds, tones, volumes, smells, tastes, all kinds of things as the basis for swishing us places. Mention a word and off your mind goes.

But where?

It depends on your learning history, experiences, memories, imaginations, hopes, etc.

Minds are phenomenal at linking things. They do so very, very quickly. Actually, this is one of the chief problems we have with our minds. The problem is not that they don’t learn, but that they learn too quickly. It’s just what they learn that often times are just not true or useful.

Minds are also incredible instruments that never shut down. Even in sleep, we dream as mind wave activity continues. This becomes a problem if we don’t give the mind lots of interesting things to process. The stimulus hunger of minds will trigger them to play the old B-rated movies or hallucinate freely.

In Joe Dispenza’s book “Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself” he discusses…

“Every day, as you go about your business, seeing the same people (your friends, your boss, your spouse or your mind and realitychildren), do the same things (drive to work, performer daily tasks, and do the same workout), go to the same places (your favorite coffee shop, the grocery store, place of employment), and look at the same objects (your car, your house, toothbrush… even your body), your known memories related to your personalized world “re-mind” you to reproduce the same reality and experiences.

We can say that the environment is actually controlling your mind.  Since the neuroscientific definition of mind is the brain in action, you repeatedly reproduce the same level of mind by “re-minding” yourself who you think you are in reference to your reality…the outer world!

Your identity becomes defined by everything outside of you, because you identify with all of the elements that make up your reality, i.e. the external world.  Thus, you’re observing your reality with a mind that is equal to it.  This then collapses the infinite wave’s possibilities of the quantum field into events that reflect the mind you used to experience your life.

You create more of the same…your reality never changes.

You may not think that your environment and your thoughts are that connected so that your reality so easily reproduced.  But when you consider that your brain is a complete record of your past, and your mind is the product of your consciousness, at one level you are always be thinking in the past.

By responding with the same brain hardware that matches what you remember, you’re creating a level of mind that is identical to the past, because your brain is automatically firing off the same existing circuits that reflect everything you already know, have experienced, and thus can be predicted.  According to quantum law (which is always working for you, even if you think it isn’t), your past is now becoming your future.

With quantum law it follows that if we believe that it will not work, it really works by appearing to “not work.”  When we believe that it cannot and will not, then, according to the principle, it does not.  But when it does not, it still does – only it does according to your thinking and belief that it will not.

Consider this: when you think from your past memories, you can only create past experiences.  As all of the “known’s” in your life cause your brain to think and feel in familiar ways, thus creating knowable outcomes, you continually reaffirm your life as you know it.  And since your brain is equal to your environment, and each morning, your senses plugged into the same reality and initiate the same stream of consciousness.

All of the sensory input that your brain processes from the external world (that is, seeing, smelling, hearing, feeling and tasting), turns your brain on to think equal to everything familiar in your reality.  You open your eyes and you know the person lying next to you is your spouse because of your past experiences together.  You hear barking outside your door, and you know it’s your dog wanting to go out.  There is a pain in your lower back, and you remember is the same pain you felt yesterday. You associate your outer, familiar world with who you think you are, by remembering yourself in this dimension, this particular time and space.

Plugging Into the Matrix of the Past

Would do most of us do each morning after we’ve been plugged into our reality by the sensory reminders of who we are, where we are, and so forth?

Well, we remain plugged into this past self life following a highly routine, unconscious set up automatic behaviors.

For example, you probably wake up on the same side of the bed, slip into your robe the same way as always, look into the mirror to remember who you are, and shower following an automatic routine.  Then you groom yourself to look like everyone expects you to look, and brush your teeth in your usual memorized fashion.  You drink coffee out of your favorite mug and eat your customary breakfast cereal.  You put on the jacket you always wear and unconsciously zipped it up.

Next, you automatically drive to work along your accustomed, convenient route.  At work you do the familiar things that you have memorized how to do so well.  You see the same people, who push the same emotional buttons, which cause you to think the same thoughts about those people and your work and your life.

Later, you hurry up and go home, so you can hurry up and eat, so you can hurry up and watch your favorite TV shows, so you can hurry up and go to bed, so you can hurry up and do it all over again.

Has your brain changed at all that day?

Why are you secretly expecting something different to show up in your life, when you think the same thoughts, perform the same actions, and experience the same emotions every single day?

Isn’t that the definition of insanity?

All of us have fallen prey to this type of limited life, one time or another.  By now, you understand the reason why.

In the above hamster wheel example, it’s safe to say that you’re reproducing the same level of mind, every day.  And if the quantum world shows that the environment is an extension of your mind (and the mind and matter are one, remember E=MC2), then as long as you’re mind remains the same, your life will stay “status quo.”

Thus, if your environment remains the same and you react by thinking in the same way, then according to the quantum model or reality, shouldn’t you create more of the same?  Think of it this: the input remains the same, so the output has to remain the same.

How, then, can you ever create anything new?”

You can learn to create a new reality by following the guidelines in the book or, you can learn to create a new level of mind, thinking and reality by requesting your Introductory Consultation today.

We are all live in two realms, the inner realm of mind and spirit, and the outer realm of the body and the physical mind and spirituniverse. In the inner realm resides the silent, subtle forces that are continually determining, and with exact precision, the conditions of the outer realm.

To strike the right balance in life is one of the supreme essentials of all successful living; this is at the heart of self-empowerment. We work because we have to eat, pay bills and attempt to enjoy life. We do however require other things than just food and shelter.

These other things are not only important, but necessary.

It is however an “unconsciousness” person that doesn’t realize that life is more than food, shelter and paying bills. This type of person merely exists; they are not living a full and abundant life, one with power, purpose and passion through self-empowerment.

We can become so absorbed in making a living that we have no time “for living.” To be talented and efficient in one’s career is a good goal; but efficiency can be created by machines and software that also robs life far more than it returns it.

We can become so possessed, and even obsessed, with the idea of power and greatness through efficiency and organization, i.e. multitasking, that it becomes the “great machine” and robs people of the finer things of life.

This is where balance comes into play…again.

Our dominant thoughts and emotions determine, and with absolute accuracy, the prevailing conditions of our outward, material life, and likewise the prevailing conditions of our physical bodily. If we something a miss in the body, we must then first look at ‘cause’, the thoughts and emotions back for the physical issue.  The silent, subtle forces of mind and spirit, ceaselessly at work, are continually molding these outward and these bodily conditions.

This is where the practice of mental strength comes in.

A person makes a fundamental error who thinks this logic is merely emotional thinking without science or evidence to back it up. They are, as many people are now realizing, the great and fundamental things in life, the only things that really count in the end.

The average person can never find real and abiding satisfaction in the mere possessions, the mere accessories of life. There is an eternal something within us that ‘forbids’ it. That is the reason why so many of highly financially successful people are turning so eagerly to the very things I am now asking you to consider.

To have personal success and all the trappings cannot bring satisfaction and fulfillment.  Hey, I’m all for a fast car and a big house…and we can use these things to serve us.  But when we start to be the servant of these possessions, we have lost more than just control.  We have lost ourselves.

Its’ a consciousness and awakened warrior that realizes that it is the things of the mind and the spirit, the fundamental things in life, that really count; that here lie the forces that are to be understood and to be used in molding and creating the everyday conditions and circumstances of life; that the abundance of life all from within, that as is the inner will always and inevitably manifest into the outer.

This is why developing your emotional, spiritual and mental strength are as important, if not more so, than developing your physical strength.

Again, here balance comes into play.  We must ultimately be significantly and equally strong in all our four bodies to be able live a life of power, purpose and passion with perseverance.

Through the discipline of mental strength practice, along with emotional and positive intelligence training, soul spelunking and intense physical exercise can we create a bridge between the inner and outer realms.

If you feel that “something” inside that is calling you to live a greater life than you’re living, I encourage you to participate in The Warrior’s Quest.  You can find out more by going HERE now.

  • Physical – Consciousness – Words – Describes (actually creates) a thing, situation
  • Mental – Unconsciousness – Pictures/Symbols – Icon representing
  • Emotional – Higher Consciousness/Self (soul) – Feelings – our internal representation of something
  • Spiritual – Cumulative Consciousness – Energy – The ‘knowingness” of life

In my complimentary report “7 Powerful Secrets to Creating a Warrior Mindset” I go over in more detail about The 6 mental strengthLaws of Mental Strength and how they affect your personal success.

I’m going to give an overview for those that have not read the report yet…and a review for those that have.

I find it helpful…at least for myself, to go back and review these laws on a regular basis’s.  You see whether you are aware of these laws or not doesn’t matter…they are still at work in your life and have a tremendous effect on achieving your personal goals and reaching peak performance in your area of interest.

These laws are like any other Natural/Universal Law, you can’t see the “law”, but you do see the result of the law…the affect.   Remember, just because you can’t see gravity doesn’t mean it’s not affecting your life.

So here are The 6 Laws of Mental Strength

  1. Thoughts are Things and Energy – This has been proven scientifically.  We have EEG’s, brain probes and other scientific instruments to read the energy in our thoughts.  So think about this…if thoughts are real energy – which they are – what else in nature is real energy?  Electricity, moving objects (kinetic energy), objects resting (potential energy), heat…etc.  All these have energy and with they can be use constructively or destructively – how are you using your thoughts?
  1. The Mind is Like a Radio Station – Sending and Receiving Thoughts All The Time – Just like a 2-way radio can both transmit and receive our mind also sends and receives thoughts.  If you tune you radio to a specific station, let’s say the news.  You’ll receive all the messages about disperse and tragedy.  If however you focus or “tune” to a station that has a bit more uplifting message, that’s what you’ll get.  The key here is you receive what you are tuned into receiving.  The opposite is true as well.  If you are constantly worried about sickness, disease and poverty you will be sending out those messages and someone who is “tuned” to that same station will connect with you.  And you wonder why you’re surrounded by such negative people?  What station are you tuned into?
  1. Thoughts that Thought With Emotion are Magnetized and Attract Like Thoughts – Ever wake up in the morning and stub your toe?  How was the rest of the day?  Not so good right?  This is because as soon as you stubbed your toe your mind was flooded with all sorts of non-supportive thoughts (to having a good day).  One thought lead to another and to another…and so on.   This happen when we get into an argument with someone.  The thoughts we think (during this high energy exchange) attracts all sorts of negative thoughts from the past.  The problem is that we do this with ourselves internally. We can have a thought of “How am I going to pay the bills” If this thought has enough emotion behind it, it will cascade into many, many, many other negative thoughts.  The good news is the opposite is true as well.  Stop for a moment and think of a puppy playing around.  Did a smile come to your face?  Did other “kind and gentle” thoughts follow?  Well unless you don’t like puppies I suspect you did, didn’t you?  So….which thoughts do you want to energize?
  1. You are Always Experiencing Thoughts, You Can Either Accept Them or Dismiss Them – This law is about personal power.  You and only you are the thinker of your thoughts.  You and only you are the receiver of your thoughts. If you don’t like the thought….throw it away.  They are your thought for gosh sakes!   This law is SO crucial for personal success…this law is about taking responsibility for your thoughts, actions and results…after all thoughts are real energy right?
  1. You Have the Power and Ability to Think any Thought You Want  – This law dovetails  right into the preceding law.  If you don’t like the thoughts you are thinking…think different ones.  You are the thinker of the thought…you are the dreamer of the dream.  Make it a magnificent one!  As the last two lines in the poem Invictus say “I am the master of my fate:  I am the captain of my soul.”
  1. The Inner-World and Outer-World are Connected and You Live in Both at The Same Time – We have the Inner world of thoughts, emotions, beliefs and values, judgments  and the Outer world of circumstances, effects, results.  Our Inner world absolutely affects our Outer world …thoughts are real energy.  And we know that our Outer world affects out Inner world.  We all have experienced some news over the past month that created an undesirable emotion and feeling within us.  We you think about achieving personal success on the Inner world and think it with emotion…we get success in the Outer world.  When we get personal success in the Outer world we think and feel success in the Inner world.

So now you have a basic understanding of the fundamental mental strength laws…how are you going to use them?

Contemplation:

I’d like to give a few contemplation exercises for this week.  Contemplation is when you sit and think about a single thought and it’s implication to your life.  You take one single idea and look at it for every angle, turn it around, upside down…you take this thought and deeply think about it’s implication on your life.

I would suggest as a personal goal to one of these thoughts per day and spend at least 3 times a day for minutes of 5 minuets sitting in contemplation.

  • I have a remarkable instrument of power (your mind) that is changing my life now that I’m learning how to use it.
  • My personal vibration determines the conditions and situations that happen to me and my beliefs create my personal vibration.
  • My power to think thoughts is my power to create my life & I have the power to think whatever thought I choose.

By taking time contemplate the above ideas you will start a new way of thinking. And when you think differently, you act differently…and when you act differently you get different results.  And you do want different results don’t you?

If this post a created a sense of empowerment, hope and anticipation to create your personal success and a more empowering way to live, pick up a copy of “Develop the Mental Strength of Warrior.” It goes into much more detail with exercises and tips on how you can control your thoughts…hence your life.

Much of my education on mental strength comes from many sources including NLP, 9 Gates Mystery School, John Kehoe, Science of Mind, Book of 5 Rings and numerous other areas. The interesting thing about “personal development” is that much of the material has been covered over and over, just put into different “packages.” I hope that my repackaging will aid you.

Please let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
