Mental Strength Coaching, similar to positive psychology, concentrates specifically on coaching individuals on how to break through the mental barriers that keep them from performing up to their potential and by teaching the mental skills necessary for personal peak performance in any area of life.

By focusing on the mental toughness strategies needed to be reach peak performance and personal success, Mental Strength Coaching seeks to achieve the overall goal of consistent peak performance, steady improvement and breaking through mental resistance, regardless of what that performance is.

What is the Mental Strength Coaching Program?

Funny thing about coaching, the client usually does well while they’re engaged in the coaching process. It’s when they leave that the progress stops.

The intent of the Mental Strength Coaching Program is to give life coaches, fitness trainers, strength and conditioning coaches, athletic trainers, managers, business owners and personal trainers with tools to help with themselves, their clients and their team to consistently progress until they reach their goal of peak performance.

Be determined to persist until you succeed. It’s the small extra things, the little repeated attempts that soon add up to accomplishment.

Coaching For Peak Performance

It’s been my experience of 25+ years in executive sales, 20+ years in the fitness industry and 5+ years as a personal peak performance coach that lasting change occurs when the professional can communicate effectively with their client.

This communication involves understanding how they client thinks, why they think this way and offer tools to help them think in a more empowering way. This is why I developed the Mental Strength Coaching Program.

The course if divided into three sections to achieve peak performance:

  • Personal Coaching
  • Mind Training
  • Mental Strength

The Personal Coaching section goes over what personal coaching is. Many people think that coaching is telling the client what to do. This is true when it comes to technical coaching, i.e. sports performance, exercise and even sales. This method of telling is not effective for chancing habitual thinking and behavior.

Coaching to change a behavior is more than just telling a client to stop doing something. When a professional coach/trainer understands this they will truly be able to “coach” their clients to change their behaviors.

Mind Training

The Mind Training section goes over some basic NLP (neuro-linguists programing) and how people process information. When a coach understands HOW a client thinks they will be able to communicate at the same “level,” and then get the results they are both looking for.

The final section, Mental Strength, goes over the four basic mental strength tools used by the Navy SEAL’s and high level athletes around the word and the proper way of using them.

Some of the target areas in the training are Motivation, Goal setting, Focus, Stress Management and Modeling and we will also teach you how to help people cross thresholds and how to help them to Flow.

The purpose of this unique training is that you, as Certified Mental Strength Coach, can help individuals with mental training. This will enable you to help them reach the goals of their dreams or perhaps – even bigger achievements!

The overall goal for this training is that you qualify for as a Mental Strength Coach and as a part of that, also obtain the Mental Strength Coaching Program.

Being a Mental Strength Coach means that you have obtained skills and competence within the areas of Coaching and Mental training and stimulation. Some of the target areas are Motivation, Goal setting, Focus, Stress Management and Modeling.
