No Gravatar

Welcome back to another Mental Strength Tip!personal success

Achieving personal success and reaching your personal goals begins with a mental strength mindset of empowering beliefs.

Reaching your personal goals and personal success starts in your mind…and finishes with taking inspired and massive action.

This is one in a series of virtual success coaching and mental strength tips to help kick-start your week.  It is intended to enthuse and inspire you to take action so that you can reach your personal goals and personal success.

I take one mental strength tips and run though a brief overview of it, then ask some very direct success coaching questions.  The intention of this virtual success coaching session is for you to write and answer these questions in your success journal and then reflect on them to gain insight on yourself, your dreams and what’s holding you back.

These series of posts are for YOU!  If I’m not able to success coach you personally then I highly recommend picking up a copy of “Develop the Mental Strength of a Warrior.” It’s a book that will take you through the exact process to take back control of your thoughts so that you can live a life a power, purpose and passion with perseverance!

You can get your copy now by going HERE.

Objective of this Mental Strength Tip:

To help you understand that the average person allow fear and doubt to hold them back from seizing opportunities.  This hesitation and lack of action all but assures them of living a life mediocrity.

“Don’t wait for extraordinary opportunities. Seize common occasions and make them great. Weak men wait for opportunities; strong men make them”. – Orison Swett Marden

Let’s Get Started:

My job here as your virtual mental strength and success coach is to make you aware of how the average person paralyzes themselves through fear and doubt, and how by using your mental strength you can move through this fear with courage and achieve your personal goals and personal success.

Questions to Uncover Beliefs about Mental Strength Thinking:

  • Why don’t more people seize opportunities that are clearly in front of them?
  • How do you move past fear and doubt to seize opportunities and personal success?
  • Do you believe it’s possible to program your mind to automatically respond to opportunities so that you’ll reach your personal goals?

Unsupportive Beliefs about Seizing Opportunities

  • Seizing opportunities is risky.
  • Seizing opportunities is uncomfortable.
  • Seizing opportunities is for people without responsibilities.

Mental Strength Beliefs about Seizing Opportunities

  • Seizing opportunities is exciting.
  • Seizing opportunities means growth and personal success.
  • The more I seize new opportunities the more mental strong and courageous I become.

Outrageous Questions:

  • If you would have seized more opportunities you’ve had in your life would be closer to reaching your personal goals and achieving your personal success?
  • What’s the worst thing that can happen if you took more risks and seized more opportunities?
  • What’s the best thing that can happen if you took more risks and seized more opportunities?
  • What are you waiting for to seize opportunities to live a life of power, passion and purpose?

Reflective Questions:

  • How can I help you develop your mental strength so that you will seize more opportunities?
  • What would you have to believe to become someone who takes risks and seizes opportunities?
  • Would you be more successful, fulfilled and happy if you took action on more opportunities that helped you reach your personal goals?

Mental Strength Coaching:

Remember that seizing opportunities must become a mental strength habit.  In order for it to become a habit you must be able to see the benefit of taking action.

Final Thought

I encourage you to take increasingly larger “risks” to build your mental strength, courage and confidence.

Once you believe you that there is no failure, only feedback and you cannot fail, you will only learn and grow, then your hesitancy and doubt will be replaced by enthusiasm and excitement.

Seize every opportunity along the way, for how sad it would be if the road you chose became the road not taken.  ~Robert Brault

Concentration on Courage for Personal Success

No Gravatar

Courage is the backbone of every successful person. The person with courage has persistence. They say what they couragebelieve and then take action to back it up. The courageous individual has confidence. They create within themselves all the qualities and mental strength forces which make up a mentally strong person that will achieve their personal success.

While, the individual without courage creates all the qualities of a mentally weak person.  They are filled with indecisiveness, doubt, hesitancy, and lack of purpose.

So I’m sure you can see the importance of concentration on courage. It is one of the most vital aspects of personal success.

The lack of courage creates financial, as well as mental and ethical difficulties. When a new problem comes, instead of looking upon it as something to be achieved, the person without courage looks for reasons why it can’t be done.  So failure is naturally and inevitable outcome.

When faced with a “problem” look at it as a possibility instead of as merely an improbability and you’ll accomplish so much more.  When you look at sometime as impossible, or statically improbable,   you immediately create all the reason for failure.

Lack of courage destroys your confidence. It destroys that forceful, resolute attitude that is essential to personal success.

The person without courage unconsciously draws to himself all that is contemptible, weakening, demoralizing and destructive. They then blame their luck when they don’t get the thing they so weakly desire.

We must first have the courage to strongly desire something. A desire to be fulfilled must be backed by the strength of all our mental forces. Such a desire has enough commanding force to change all unfavorable conditions. The person with courage commands and draws to them all the needed resources to achieve their personal goal.

What is Courage?

It is the Will To Do. It takes no more energy to be courageous than to be cowardly. It is a matter of the right mental training in the right way. Courage concentrates the mental strength forces on the task at hand. It then directs them thoughtfully, steadily, deliberately, while attracting all the forces of success, toward the desired end.

Cowardice on the other hand, dissipates both our mental, physical, spiritual and emotional forces, thereby inviting failure.

Because we are creatures of habits, we should avoid persons that lack courage. They are easy to identify because of their habits of fear in attacking problems.

The person with courage is never immobilized by fear!

Start out today with the idea that there is no reason why you should not be courageous. If any fear-thoughts come to you get rid of them off as you would the deadly viper.

Form the habit of never thinking of anything unsupportive of yourself or anyone else. In dealing with challenges create the mental strength thought of, “I am courageous.”

Whenever a doubt creeps into your mind, evict it. Remember, you as master of your mind, you control it’s every thought.  Here’s a good affirmation to repeat regularly, “I have courage because I desire it; because I am it; because I use it.”

Say this because I refuse to become such a weakling cowardice individual.

There is No Justification for the Loss of Courage

The challenges and problems will seem so overwhelming without courage.  When you have courage any problem will seem just like an opportunity to learn and grow.   When it comes to “evil”, the only way evil and exists and spread if a population of coward’s to do nothing.  Courage takes action and stops the oppression of others.

Never let another’s opinion affect you; they can’t tell what you are able to do or not do; they don’t know what you are truly capable of. The truth is you really do not know yourself until you put yourself to the test.  Therefore, how can someone else know you? Never let anyone else put a valuation on you.

All great personal successes have been accomplished after it had been “thoroughly” demonstrated that it was impossible. Once we understand the Law, all things are possible. If they were impossibilities we could not conceive them.

The instant you allow someone to influence you against going after your personal goals, you lose the confidence in yourself that inspires courage and carries with it all the mental strength forces which courage creates.

The moment you begin to veer off your plans you begin to carry out someone else’s thought and not your own. You become the directed and not the director. You abandon courage and resolution, and you then you’ll lack the very mental strength forces that you need to reach your personal goal. Instead of being self-reliant you become timid and this invites failure.

When you permit yourself to be influenced away from your goal by anyone, you are unable to decide what action to take, because you have allowed another’s influence to deprive you of your courage and determination.  When you do this you are basically giving away yourself and getting nothing in return.

Concentrate on just the opposite of fear, want, poverty, sickness, etc. Never doubt your own ability. You have plenty, if you will just use it.

Most people are failures because they doubt their own capacity. Instead of building up mental strength forces, which would be of the greatest use to them, their fear thoughts tear them down.

Fear paralyzes energy. It keeps us from attracting the forces that go to make up personal success. Fear is the worst enemy we have.

There are few people who really know that they can accomplish great things. They desire the full extent of their powers.  But unfortunately it’s only occasionally that you’ll find a person that is aware of the great possibilities within them.

When you believe with all your mind and heart and soul that you can do something, you will develop the courage and then steadily and confidently live up to that belief. You have then taken a giant step in accomplishing your personal goal.

Sure, there will be obstacles, big and small that get in your way, but resolute courage will overcome them…nothing else will. Strong courage eliminates the injurious and opposing forces by summoning their masters, the yet stronger forces that will serve you.

Courage is yours for the asking. All you have to do is to believe in it, claim it and use it. To succeed in life believe that it will be successful, assert that you are already successful, and work like a warrior to make it so.

Difficulties soon melt away before the courageous. One person of courage can attract all the resources, including people, to achieve personal success. Courage, like cowardice, is contagious.

The person of courage overcomes the trials and temptations of life; they command success; they render sound judgment; they develop personal influence and a forceful character and often become the mentor of the community which they serve.

How to Overcome Sadness

Sadness is a state that can be quickly overcome through concentrating more closely on your Higher Self, for when you do you cut off the connection with the harmful thought forces that are “creating” the sadness.

You can also drive away unsupportive moods by simply choosing and fully concentrating on a pleasant and inspiring subject. Through will power and thought control we can accomplish anything we want to do. There is wonderful inherent power within us all, and there is never any sufficient cause for fear, except ignorance.

Every evil and failure is but the product of “ignorance”, and everyone that possesses the power to think has the power to overcome ignorance and evil. The pain that we suffer from doing evil are but the lessons of experience, and the object of the pain is to make us realize our ignorance.

When we become saddened it is evidence that our thought forms are combining improperly and thereby attracting the wrong mental forces and life experiences.

All that’s needed is to exercise your mental strength, will and concentrate upon pleasant subjects, say to yourself, “I will only think of subjects worthy of my Higher Self and its powers.”

Warrior Mind Podcast Episode # 71 – Bravery

No Gravatar

This Warrior Mind Podcast is based on Mental Strength Tip #35 – Bravery and Personal SuccessWarrior Mind Podcast

Have you checked out Warrior Mind Fundamentals online training yet?  Check it out HERE

This Warrior Mind Podcast is to help you build the mental strength belief that it is necessary to take risks to achieve personal success.  Taking risk requires mental strength and bravery; and that, just like mental strength, bravery can be developed over time

What is bravery?   According the dictionary:

1. The condition or quality of being brave; courage.

2. Splendor or magnificence; show.

3. Having or displaying courage, resolution, or daring; not cowardly or timid

What role you believe bravery plays in your life? Do you have a sense for what you think about bravery, and what you believe it will take to reach your personal goals and personal success?

Here’s what James Robinson says about bravery. “Greatness, in the last analysis, is largely bravery – courage in escaping from old ideas and old standards and respectable ways of doing things.”

Enjoy the podcast below:

Move slowly with this one if you’re not being helped by a coach.  Keep in mind that most people have never been challenged about their level of bravery.

For generations, men have been trained to associate their self-worth with their level of bravery.  It’s easy to arouse an illogical, emotional and defense response from your ego if you move too fast.

If you’d like to get really inspired on the subject of bravery, watch “127 Hours”….this exemplifies bravery!  Or “Fair Game”, this demonstrates bravery in a completely different context.

Embracing bravery consciously, for perhaps the first time, is like handling a sharp sword; move confidently yet carefully allowing yourself to grow through the process.  Keeping your ego at bay is the secret to clear and rational mental strength thinking that will result in bravery and personal success.

If you’d like to get started on developing a rock solid mindset for personal power,  peak human performance, goal setting or achieving your personal goals sign-up for Warrior Mind Fundamentals today HERE

Mental Strength Equipment Checklist

No Gravatar

I like checklists, they help me keep a focus and keep things in order.  I don’t live by them, but I do like them.mental strength

I think if checklists as the banks of the river, they’re secure and keep the ‘flow’ moving in the right direction.

Napoleon Hill has a great mental strength checklist that I’d like to share with you.

“There follows a list of very desirable qualities which almost any normal and reasonable person can come to possess and exercise. The list is long and perfection may be only slowly attained. Therefore, before entering into a detailed consideration of the things you would like to have your mind and body capable of doing, let’s at once enumerate those which are absolutely necessary.

Physical fitness is of tremendous importance for the simple reason that neither mind nor body can function well without it. Therefore, give attention to your habits of life, proper diet, healthful exercise and fresh air.

Courage must be the part of every man or woman who succeeds in any undertaking, especially that of selling in these trying time of intense competition after a devastating period of depression and discouragement.

Imagination is an absolute requisite of a successful salesman. He must anticipate situations and even objections on the part of his prospective customer. He must have such a lively imagination as to enable its operation to place him in sympathetic understanding with the position, needs, and objectives of his customer. He must almost literally stand in the other man’s shoes. This takes real imagination.

Speech. The tone of voice must be pleasing. A high-pitched squeaky voice is irritating. Words half swallowed are hard to understand. Speak distinctly and enunciate clearly. A meek voice indicates a weak person. A firm, clean-cut, clear voice that moves with assurance and color, indicates an aggressive person with enthusiasm and aggressiveness.

Hard work is the only thing that will turn sales training and ability into money. No amount of good health, courage, or imagination is worth a dime unless it is put to work; and the amount of pay a salesman gets is usually fixed by the amount of very hard, intelligent work that he actually puts out. Many people side-step this factor of success.”

Source:  How to Sell Your Way Through Life, 1955, Ralston Publishing Co., Cleveland, Ohio, pgs. 72-73.

This is an awesome list!  It has everything that is near and dear to my heart; physical fitness – everything comes through our bodies, no matter what we desire to manifest, we have to take action.  That action can only be done through the body.

Courage – It takes mental strength to develop courage. And this is developed by constantly exposing oneself to uncomfortable situation….this creates courage and personal empowerment.

Imagination – I think if this as non-linear thinking.  Imagination comes from our unconsciousness and collective unconsciousness mind.  The more we tap into this ‘stream’, the more we’ll receive ideas to help us with my personal success goals.

Speech – The word we speak are carried on the voice of God.  Out speech can uplift, inspire and motivate. Our speech is a direct reflection of our values, beliefs and thoughts.  If want to know what your thoughts are, listen to the words you’re saying.

Hard Work – In others words, take massive action.  Again, nothing happens without action.  Take a little action, little things happen.  Take massive action, great things happen.  If you’ve been applying the same level of action and still have not achieved your peak performance, perhaps it’s about time to kick it up a few notches.

There you go…a fantastic mental strength list!

If you’d like to learn more about mental strength, courage and achieving peak performance my e-book, “Develop the Mental Strength of a Warrior” can assist you tremendously.  If you’d like to experience coaching firsthand and see if it’s right for you, request your Introductory Consolation.
