Mental Strength Habits Of A Purpose Focused Man – Part 21

Welcome back the continuation of this series entitled “Mental Strength Habits Of A Purpose Focused Man” purpose focused man

We’ve been breaking down 21 habits of a purposed focused man one. A man with a purpose driven life exhibits specific qualities in 5 segments of his life, these segments are:

  • Mental
  • Physical
  • Emotional
  • Financial
  • Spiritual

If this is your first time here the link back to “Mental Strength Habits Of A Purpose Focused Man – Part I.

There is no “mid-life crisis” for men…generally speaking.

This “mid-life crisis” for men is, is just a lack of focus and purpose.  When men lose their purpose, they also lose our focus.  When they lose their focus they feel lost.  And many men attempt to find themselves in unproductive behaviors.

My main point of these posts and my private intensive, The Warriors Quest, is to help men realize that they do have a mission and purpose in life.  And once they find it they can live a life of power, purpose, passion and perseverance!

My hope is that through these series of posts and “The Warriors Quest”, I will help men who, admittedly or not, are experiencing a mid-life emptiness and guide them back to manhood and step into their masculinity…without becoming a jerk.

We’ve already covered the mental, physical and emotional habits of a highly focused purpose driven man.  We’ll now look at the final habit, spiritual:

Spiritual Habits

This is the fusion of all the other habits that provide a life purpose filled with meaning and fulltime and is unique to each individual.  The spiritual habits produce a life with power, purpose, passion and perseverance

 Spiritual Focus:

Purpose Focused Man

  • Brings into focus their habits of body, mind and emotion under their Spiritual umbrella for examination
  • Knows their top 10 values and live the top 5 daily and the others at least weekly
  • Know their purpose, vision and mission in life
  • Reflect on who they have to become in order to live their vision and mission and make any adjustments
  • Examines their values, beliefs, capabilities, behaviors and environment from a Higher perspective

A man with a purpose focused life well has a purpose.  He knows everything that goes into that purpose, His beliefs, values, behaviors, capabilities and environmental.

A man actively participating in his purpose driven life often takes time to contemplate who he has become because of his journey.

He has developed a Code of Honor to live by.

No Life Purpose, Unfocused Man

  • Don’t have time for in-depth reflection
  • Take live day by day with no sense of purpose
  • Can’t tell you their top values and if they can, they change regularly depending on their mood
  • Forced into in-depth reflection via a death of someone close

A man without a purpose driven life is a “lost soul.”  He doesn’t know his top values and beliefs and doesn’t see how it is important.

A man not actively engaged in a purpose focused life thinks he doesn’t have time for contemplation; he’s too busy with watching TV or dulling the pain of an unfulfilled life.

He has no Code of Honor to live by, and if he did it would “All for me.”

Self Assessment

OK…looking at the above mental strength spiritual characteristic for a man with a purpose driven life, take the below survey and see how well you’re doing… and please have the courage to be honest with yourself.

Spiritual Focus: Continually bringing into focus, reviewing, and refining the habits of mind, body, emotion, and material substance. In-depth reflection focusing on what you might be against where and what you are now or have been in the past.

1                      2                      3                      4                      5

Never               Seldom             Sometimes       Often                Always
